One of the biggest lessons taught from The Alchemist is the pursuit of ones personal legend. A personal legend is a dream and goal that one must follow in this life. It is personal and yet common for everyone. We all need to achieve if in order to be truly happy and be at peace.
My personal legend is to become a history teacher. I love history; it is a truly fascinating subject. I love to constantly talk about it. A sense of pride builds up in me at the sight of others understanding it. My brain is swimming with knowledge of it, and its eager to share ith with someone. I wish to help people realize the past with the hope of making a better future.
I wish to go to Rutgers and hopefully take a study abroad program in Germany. I've have always felt a connection with Germany ever since I was 12. It is my dream to travel there and see it with my own eyes. It is very unfair that people still think of it as a Nazi country so I want to go there and see what its really like.
As for Rutgers, I want to go and get a history degree. I have done all that is necessary to get accepted and I have been succesful. My personal legend is almost here.
Everyone has a personal legend. Everyone has what it takesto achieve it. The question is do you want to go for it despite the hardships that it will entail. I know one thing for sure is that I am.
